Our Peat bogs are a valuable natural resource that we are committed to safeguarding and we endeavour to protect.
Responsible environmental protection and sustainable development form part of our core values.
At Tippland we have a strict policy of extracting peat responsibly and in an environmentally acceptable manner. All peat is sourced from non SSSI sites, which are ethically and environmentally managed to support re-growth.
Here at Tippland respect for nature is at the forefront of our operations. Our goal is to work towards a greener future. We are continuously practising new cultural and biological methods minimising usage of chemicals providing you with a natural product that is environmentally friendly.
Producing high quality growing media through the use of natural resources in a sustainable manner is an integral part of our business.
A policy of constant investment in research and technology has enabled the company to introduce a new range of peat free and peat reduced growing media. The creation and addition of peat free alternatives such as coir, green compost, wood fibre and bark to our growing media is the first step in our commitment to supply a range of peat reduced and peat free products.
Producing peat free alternatives is a challenge we embrace and the use of sustainable natural resources is at the forefront of our business.
All of our packaging is recyclable and made from recycled materials where possible.
